Lightseekers: Kickstarter Goal Achieved, Beta Test in December
Gaming innovator PlayFusion set a Kickstarter goal of $200,000 for Lightseekers an action adventure role playing video game that seamlessly connects smart action figures, trading cards, comics. And so far $219,000 has been pledged in total by Kickstarter backers around the world. Beta test will be available for supporters on December.
Lightseekers is an action and fantasy adventure role-playing game built for mobile and tablet, and will be available on Mac and PC in 2017, it will be entirely free to download with no in-app purchases. Lightseekers is reinforced by an epic storyline that will be updated regularly so there will always be new adventures, new lands and new characters to experience.

Mark Gerhard, CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion, the Cambridge-based games studio behind Lightseekers, said: “The team are delighted with the response to our Kickstarter campaign. Although the target has been reached it is not too late to pledge your support and get involved and get early access to the game when we launch our Beta test in December.
“Our Kickstarter campaign offers backer names in the game credits, the opportunity to design a custom pet to appear in the game, and take Bertha, the PlayFusion tank, for a crushing ride. If that’s not enough, our highly-anticipated beta launch, exclusively for all Kickstarter fans, goes live in December 2016.
“Thanks to the support of our Kickstarter backers, we will now be able to fully develop Lightseekers, and bring our innovative new products to retail in early 2017.”
Lightseekers also offers next level interchangeable accessories. Equipping a weapon or accessory onto an action figure will have an immediate effect in the game and vice versa, opening up new abilities and adventures. In addition, flight packs can be added to any hero, allowing players to magically control their in-game character by moving the toy.
There’s also a completely interactive collectible trading card game with 385+ cards at launch that further enhances the Lightseekers universe. The digital game, the physical trading card game and the figures can be enjoyed independently of one another, but when played together the experience will be even more enjoyable.
