Pokemon Go Will be Released in July

Today at the Nintendo’s E3 Treehouse live day 2, the publisher of Pokémon Go, announced that its upcoming AR mobile Pokémon game, will be released sometime near the end of July. It was also mentioned the big amount of feedback that was gathered during the field testing of the app across various countries and it was detailed its functions, being  allowing players to use the game without taking out their phone. This hardware will also be released for $34.99.

Famous Youtuber specialized in the Pokémon franchise Jwittz, was also in the stage making questions to Game Freak about Pokémon Go. Game Freak made a demonstration of the app by revealing photos taken with the app in the E3 event, seeing various Pokémon that were in the building. During the conference appeared a Ratata which was caught to demonstrate the mechanics of the pokeball and how you can control its trajectory when launching it.

It was revealed in the conference that a new mechanic for evolving Pokémon in the app is being implemented in the form of candies, which can be obtained by catching the same Pokémon you are trying to evolve over and over again to stack a set number of candies needed to evolve your Pokémon.

Check out the demonstration of Pokémon GO at Nintendo’s E3 Livestream:

“Pokémon Go uses AR technology and smart phones to allow players to search out and catch Pokémon in their own backyard. Players can either choose to use programmed backgrounds that will contribute to a more traditional gaming experience or use their smartphone camera to have the Pokémon appear on the streets of their town or cities. The game has been in development for quite some time, and the company recently opened up field testing to people in the United States, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

The more Pokémon caught and trained, the more experience points a trainer gets and the more powerful they become. As they become more powerful, they’ll be given the option to catch more stronger and rarer Pokémon. Although Nintendo did not specify how often legendary Pokémon could be caught, it was previously reported that the publisher was looking into hosting events in different cities to allow players to catch those type of Pokémon.

When you first play Pokémon GO, you’ll get to customize the look of your Trainer, choosing apparel and accessories to give him or her a cool look. Your customized character will appear as you move around on the map, as well as on your profile page. Plus, other players will see your character when they visit a Gym you control.”
