2D Cinematic Adventure Platformer Forgotton Anne Announced for PC & Consoles

Square Enix Collective has announced a new 2D cinematic adventure game, called Forgotten Anne, is currently in development for PC and consoles.

Forgotten Anne combines a puzzle platformer with adventure game elements to offer a seamless cinematic experience. Players will assume the role of Anne as she keeps order in the Forgotten Realm, which is a place where all that is lost and forgotten goes. While Anne is working as an enforcer, a rebellion begins to rise and it’s up to her to end it…

Forgotten Anne is currently in development at ThroughLine Games and is expected to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.

Check out the Trailer:

“Imagine a place where everything that is lost and forgotten goes; old toys, letters, single socks,” the team explained in their official press kit. “The Forgotten Realm is a magical world inhabited by Forgotlings, creatures composed of mislaid objects longing to be remembered again.”

Forgotton Anne was announced at EGX 2016 through Square Enix Collective and unveiled with a story trailer that revealed a bit of its gameplay. Clearly inspired by an anime aesthetic, the game’s world looks gorgeous, fantastical and rich.”
