2K Will Announce A New Installment In “One of 2K’s Biggest” Franchises

Publisher 2K has announced that it will announce a new installment in one of its “biggest” and “most beloved” franchises in the upcoming Summer Games Fest 2024 Showcase. Further information was not announced. The event will go live on June 7. It’s worth noting that a new Mafia and Bioshock game are currently in development so either of the two could get a full announcement. According to prominent leaker Kurakasis, Mafia publisher 2K “began preparations for an announcement regarding the Mafia series”. The leaker also claims that while its hard to determine when the announcement will be made, they speculate it might be in soon based on how long it took the Judas trailer to launch after preparations.

Mafia: Definitive Edition details via the publisher:

Part one of the Mafia crime saga—1930s, Lost Heaven, Illinois.

Re-made from the ground up with a new game engine, an updated script, new cutscenes, additional gameplay sequences, and more, you’ll rise through the ranks of the Italian Mafia during the Prohibition era of organized crime. After a run-in with the mob, cab driver Tommy Angelo is thrust into a deadly underworld. Initially uneasy about falling in with the Salieri crime family, Tommy soon finds that some rewards are too big to pass up.
