During an earnings’ call for fiscal year 2019, THQ Nordic has announced that there are 80 games under development in THQ Nordic, Deep Silver and Coffee Stain subsidiaries and studios of which 48 titles are unannounced yet.
From the time that THQ and Nordic Games came along as one publisher in gaming industry, they have acquired so many studios and revived some old and memorable IPs so far, and now the company is big enough to run 80 projects all at the same time. While THQ Nordic promises a big show at E3 2019 along with this year’s Gamescom to reveal most of those 48 unannounced titles, the publisher teased one of them, as it’s a new AAA game from 4A Games, the development team behind Metro Exodus.
Except confirming a new title from 4A Games, THQ Nordic didn’t provide any details about the title, however we know that 4A Games is currently working on two new story-driven DLCs for Metro Exodus and both of them will be coming to targeted platforms until early 2020. So, it seems the next project of the studio will be definitely coming to next-gen consoles.
Metro Exodus had a successful launch in terms of both review scores and sales. According to the report from THQ Nordic, Metro Exodus is officially the publisher’s best selling title so far, and it has surely met all the expectations for financial performance, refunding all the marketing and the development investments, which seems to be a heart-warming approval to sign a new contract with the studio once again.
