According with recent reports, 505 Games and Epic Games Store have signed an exclusivity contract which prohibits the publisher to release any of their IP in other digital distribution platform other than Epic’ store.
Developer 505 Games is an Italian video game publisher founded back in 2006 they’re known for publishing games in all platforms, games like Payday 2, Assetto Corsa, Terraria among others have been published by 505 Games.
What this deal means for Epic is that unreleased PC versions of the games published by 505 Games will have to release exclusively for a limited time on Epic’s store. At this moment Control and Journey to the Savage Planet will be the first games to join this new deal.
The first title is Control. After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, players will take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain Control. This sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience built on the proprietary Northlight engine challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments.
The second game is Journey to the Savage Planet, an upbeat first-person adventure game set in a bright and colorful alien world filled with weird and wonderful creatures.
