Toki Remake for Switch Gameplay Trailer
There are some great news for Nintendo fans, it has been confirmed that a Toki Remake is coming back to the Nintendo Switch for the end of the year. The original 1989 arcade game was a 2D platformer with challenging difficulty, the remake of the game will have new graphics, new music by Philippe Dessoly and Pierre Adane the masterminds behind the original Amiga conversion of the game back in the 1990’s.
The game is expected to release on December 2018, it is now available for pre-order, so if you have fond memories of the Commodore Amiga, you can look forward to this remaster.

Toki’s Story
Toki the warrior lived peacefully in the jungle with his sweetheart Miho. Appearing out of nowhere, the terrifying voodoo sorcerer Vookimedlo and heinous demon Bashtar kidnap Miho and turn the poor Toki into a chimpanzee! Unfortunately for his sweetheart, he has become a hairy, lethargic ape…
The former warrior must get used to his new form and, deprived of his traditional weapons, use his powerful jaw to spit strange projectiles at his enemies. During his adventure, Toki will find objects that will help him complete his quest, from a football helmet to a pair of flippers and snorkel.
Microïds was founded in 1984 by Elliot Grassiano. For the first 10 years, Microïds was a development house, but in 1995 they expanded into publishing and distribution as well. Both publisher and development studio, Microids distributed the Broderbund products in France, including “Prince of Persia”. it is known for the development of games such as “Corsairs”, “Rising Lands”, “Syberia” and “Syberia 2” or “Nicky Boom” series on the Commodore Amiga.
Microïds’ publishing line today is focused on mainstream games, where the core objectives will continue to be gaming and entertainment, fiction and fantasy worlds. Some of its titles will also touch on the learning sector
