With a rather controversial release schedule, Battlefield V has finally revealed the official release date for their upcoming rendition of the battle royale genre, Firestorm.
While the game released all the way back in November, there has been plenty of updates and new features added to the mix since. Firestorm will be Battlefield’s official introduction into the overly-popular genre, going up against battle royale leaders Fortnite, Apex Legends and rival Call of Duty’s Blackout.
You can watch the Firestorm reveal trailer below to get a taste of what to expect from the upcoming game mode:
Players will be able to participate in single ,duos or squads similar to other BR titles with the same survival feel of the online genre. The game mode will support up to 64 players in a single lobby, a vastly different number when compared to most other BR titles.
Firestorm is set to launch on March 25, 2019 as apart of Battlefield V’s third installment of the Trial By Fire content expansion. The mode is being developed by Criterion, as opposed to the game’s original developers, EA Dice.
