Footsteps of Google are getting spotted more and more within the gaming industry as of 2019. The American giant is about to set up the first streaming platform for video games later this year with full functionality. Stadia will be the first sight of 9th generation for gamers all over the world and more details are on the way to be showed up in the following days.
Google has officially announced that a new stream will go live on June 6 at 6 PM CET to deliver new information on Stadia, it’s upcoming games and also the determined price for the service. Aside from supporting third-party and multi-platform titles, Stadia has got its own first party studios that are working on exclusive games for the platform, so it’s expected to see the first details of the launch titles for Stadia, along with how the games will be available through the platform and subscriptions. Also, the price tag for Stadia’s exclusive controller will be likely revealed during the show, though it’s been promised that the streaming platform will support different types of controllers.
It’s worth noting that the livestream will be premiered just 4 days ahead of E3 2019 and it’s reasonable to ask why doesn’t Google transition its show to E3? Well, Google says “some news can’t wait for E3” but if you ask me, I think maybe the stream doesn’t have enough content to hold a conference at Los Angeles for at least an hour, though I love to get surprised by Google on Thursday.
