It was only a few days ago that rumors on a cheaper model of Switch finally turned out to be true, with Nintendo announcing Switch Lite as a new edition for its handheld console.
While Nintendo Switch Lite is fully focused on being a portable and handheld platform with no dock and detachable controllers, some say that there will be a new model for Switch in the near future with an upgraded hardware and more capabilities compared to the console’s original version. A new platform like PS4 Pro and Xbox One X that might be named as Nintendo Switch Pro.
According to The Verge, Nintendo has filed a Class 2 Permission Change in two sections: Memory and System on Chip. Upgrading memory apparently doesn’t need more explanation but when it comes to System on Chip, there are rumors that Nintendo has planned to use a new version of Tegra X1, which might be Tegra X2. Aside from graphics chipset, there might be some improvements on battery too.
Nintendo Switch Lite will be launching in September priced at $200. It’s being said that Nintendo Switch Pro has been planned to reveal and release in 2020.
