Nintendo released a brand-new mobile title just a few days ago in the strategy puzzle game, Dr. Mario World, and is already seeing high counts of success. The new iOS and Android title released late last week and has already seen its fair share of downloads as its already received 2 million downloads.
The new free-to-play title is the latest game from Nintendo to hit the mobile market, continuing a successful run alongside titles such as Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem Heroes. There’s also the upcoming Mario Kart Tour which has seen respectable reviews during the closed beta period.
Regardless of the free-to-play model of Dr. Mario World, Nintendo has also managed to make a decent pocket from in-game monetization which racked in over $100k within the first three days. sitting on top of these numbers, though, is Fire Emblem Hereos with $11.6 million and nearly 5 million downloads.
With all of the hype surrounding Nintendo and their Switch console filled with top notch exclusives, they seem to be hitting stride with their mobile line-up as well. Dr. Mario World – along with Nintendo’s other mobile titles – is available on iOS and Android now.
