Infinity Ward officially revealed the multiplayer part for its upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at the first day of this month. While we got a brief trailer for the whole atmosphere of the game in its multiplayer modes, today, the development team shared a lengthy gameplay video showcasing some of the multiplayer modes and several maps while a veteran COD player is taking down every opponent brutally.
First things first, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare seems to feature a real fast-paced shooter style that makes it more exciting than before. Textures, lighting and other technical stuff within the game looks fantastic enough to make me believe in the new engine at Infinity Ward. Here you can check the footage out before I start breaking it down to you:
At first, we get to see some gameplay footage for Headquarters in Azhir Cave map which is a village like outskirt with old houses and a noticeable cave with multiple entrances. Then, we take a look at Domination which is more like a capture-the-flag mode, a typical thing in every multiplayer action game. After that, Cyber Attack is represented which I like the most, personally. It’s more like the typical mode in Rainbow Six: Siege, where one team is attacker and the other defends from a bomb.
Team Deathmatch is the fourth mode that you can have a glimpse on through the trailer above. While the mode itself doesn’t require any introduction, the map that it was set in definitely worth watching. Actually, it was the Night mode for Azhir Cave map but it did bring a whole new challenge to the gameplay. Through the night, you should use your night-vision goggles and it leads to the removal of the aiming hint on the screen, making you to aim at enemies via the laser’s light.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Its campaign mode is promised to be revealed soon by Infinity Ward which could be unveiled at Gamescom 2019. Also, there were some rumors pointing out a free-to-play Battle Royale mode for Modern Warfare to be released separately next year.
