Nintendo hosted a special ‘Pokemon Direct’ today, a lot of announcements were made, from the remake of a classic Pokémon title, to a new expansion pass for the newest title.
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced The Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, will contain The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra expansions. Players will be able to meet new characters, catch new Pokémon and explore new areas in the Galar region. Both expansions will include a new area to explore, newly discoverable Pokémon, clothing items, handy features, and more. By the way, we found a great collection of Pokemon Kigurumi Onesies.
The Isle of Armor is scheduled to be released by the end of June 2020, and The Crown Tundra in the fall of 2020. The Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, which include both sets of content, is now available for pre-purchase for $29.99.
Players who don’t order the expansion will also get new content, as Galarian Slowpoke is now available, Galarian Slowpoke can evolve into Galarian Slowbro if a specific item that can be found on the Isle of Armor is used. It can evolve into Galarian Slowking instead if a specific item that can be found in the Crown Tundra is used. Learn more here.
Other newer additions include a special training uniform in The Isle of Armor. In The Crown Tundra, trainers can acquire special exploration gear for exploring the tundra. New characters will also appear, a legendary trainer called Mustard will appear and “will be responsible for the player’s training”.
Nintendo also revealed Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. A demo is now available on the Switch’s EShop. The game remakes the classic Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, which originally released in 2006. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX launches on March 6, 2020.
Pokémon Home release date was also announced at Pokémon Direct, the feature will release on February 2020, It will allow players to store Pokémons from Pokemon Go, Pokemon Let’s Go, and Pokemon Sword and Shield.
