The Division 2 Update 12.1 To Add 4K Support on Next-Gen Consoles

next-gen upgrade is coming on next week’s Title Update 12.1, the game will then take the best from the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and support 4k at 60 fps.

The information was revealed by Ubisoft’s Community Developer Johan in response to a question from a fan on Twitter:

No State of the Game tomorrow. TU12.1 releases on Feb 2nd with the Resident Evil Apparel Event, a rebalance of the Optimization Station cost as well as 4K 60 FPS support for next-gen consoles.

Ubisoft recently confirmed that The Division 2 will be taking part in Capcom’s 25 year anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise. Players can unlock iconic outfits from the Resident Evil trilogy, from February 2 to 15.

Ubisoft announced in December 2020, that For Honor, Rainbow Six are also being ported to next-gen hardware. In the case of The Division 2, players will see significantly faster loading times thanks to the PS5 and Xbox Series X NVME SSD, upgrades on Xbox Series S are still to be confirmed.

Following the events of its predecessor, the game tasks players into a fractured and collapsing Washington, D.C. as veteran Division agents, players are the last hope against the complete collapse of society as enemy factions look for control of the city.

Building upon more than two years of listening to and learnings from the Division community, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will offer a substantial campaign that organically flows into a robust endgame, to create a cohesive and meaningful experience for all types of players.

is “the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre”, the project is led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with seven studios around the world.
