CD Projekt Will Announce Gwent The Witcher Card Game
When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched last year, a lot of people joked that Gwent, the fictional card game that serves as a source of multiple quests, minigames, and income throughout Geralt’s story, was so well developed and fleshed out that it could be its own standalone product.
Much like Ubisoft acted on a similar observation made about the naval portions of Assassin’s Creed III with the launch of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, so too it seems like CD Projekt RED will be doing the same- because it appears as though they have trademarked Gwent: The Witcher Card Game– meaning that this might be their Witcher related announcement for E3 that they had hinted at earlier this year.
But if I were to guess, it would be a free to play game for PC and smartphones.
Check out the Logo:
“The trademark was filled with class 9 and 41 (videogames, software, etc.) into the European Union Intellectual Property Office two days ago (June 6th), with what seems to be the official logo.”
