According to the Australian Rating Board, a new Super Monkey Ball game might be announced soon. The unannounced game is reportedly called Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, the game doesn’t seem to be a remaster of an older game.

The Australian Rating Board listing for Banana Mania has been removed from the website. At the moment of publishing, there are no screenshots of the alleged listing.
SEGA released Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD which is a remaster of the Wii game from 2006. The Japanese developer was questioned in its decision to re-release Banana Blitz as the game it’s not considered to be a good title in the series. The disappointing release received a Metacritic score between 62 to 70 depending on the platform.
Ball Banana Mania was teased in 2020 by voice actor Matt Brian, who stated in several Instagram posts that a new game is in development.
Super Monkey Ball is a franchise created by Amusement Vision and published by Sega. The beginnings of the franchise are on Japanese arcade machines, the game was planned to be one of the Sega Dreamcast featured games but due to the consoles’ failure, the franchise was released in the Nintendo GameCube.
Similar to Marble Madness, players do not have control of the monkey in the ball, instead, they will tilt the world itself at various angles controlling the speed and turning of the ball. The objective of the game is to reach the goal gate before the timer runs out.
