According to a recently leaked best buy listing for the upcoming survival horror remake, Silent Hill 2, which has since been taken down, the upcoming game will give more focus on the Silent Hill 2 fan favorite antagonist, Pyramid Head. As spotted by a ResetEra user, the Best Buy listing states that the upcoming game will feature the character making a return and will have “a special origin story for fans to play through.” It’s worth noting that while this is a remake, the origin story, if true, may be completely original content unique to the upcoming game. However, it’s also worth noting that developer Blooper Team has stated that it doesn’t intend to change “established narrative core”. The Silent Hill 2 remake will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. A release date has yet to be announced.
