In the recently published ‘Mafia 20th Anniversary Developer Interview’, Hangar 13 general manager Roman Hladik confirmed that a new Mafia game is currently in development, but it is still “a few years away.” The latest game in the franchise, Mafia: Definitive Edition launched on September 25, 2020 for PC and consoles except Nintendo Switch. Hladik commented on the upcoming entry, saying:
“I’m happy to confirm we’ve started work on an all-new Mafia project! While it’s a few years away and we can’t share anything more right now, we’re really excited to keep working on this beloved franchise and to entertain our players with new stories.”
