Capcom recently revealed that a new Resident Evil title is currently in development and is being directed by Koshi Nakanishi (Resident Evil 7). “We’re making a new Resident Evil,” Nakanishi said. “It was really difficult to figure out what to do after [Resident Evil 7 biohazard]. But I found it, and to be honest, it feels substantial. I can’t share any details just yet, but I hope you’re excited for the day I can.” Additional details were not announced. However, with this announcement, it’s fair to conclude that the recent rumors of a Resident Evil 9 title being in development may be true.
