Keeping with the trend of showing new trailers for games first revealed during the VGA‘s last year, The Summer Game Fest, hosted by Geoff Keighley, showcased a new trailer for indie rogue-lite Endless Dungeon. It was not the only rogue-lite to come out of the event yesterday either, with Metal Slug Tactics being the other game I covered boasting the figure.
So what is going on here? Well, the player has been shipwrecked on a mysterious space station. This space station is filled to the brim with alien monsters looking to kill you, and the only way to survive is to recruit heroes to help fight the hordes. Even then you can pretty much expect to die, but at least you gave them hell before you did.
The trailer lists out four simple rules you should follow as you play:
Following them, you and up to 3 friends should be able to find your footing on your endless lifecycle.
What should be noted about the game is the name. If it sounds familiar to you that is because this game is part of a much larger series. Amplitude Studios, the team behind this game, has a large endless universe that this game is connected to. That universe includes the popular fantasy game Endless Legends and the sci-fi game Endless Space.
Endless Dungeon will be releasing onto Consoles and PC in 2022.
