According to an anonymous informant on 4chan, Sega is producing a spin-off game for the Yakuza series.

The leak affirms that the game is based on the story from Yakuza Online, a game that is only available in Japan and features Ryuji Goda as a main playable character. The game features all the locations from Yakuza 5, and Yakuza 6.
The project is being produced by Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The leaker provided two screenshots that lacks the visual fidelity that a next-gen project has, but it could suggest that the new game is designed to work on mobile devices.

Yakuza Online is now available on Android, iOS, and PC in Asia. The game feature several mini-games from the console titles as well as several fan-favorite characters from the Yakuza franchise including, Yoshitaka Mine, Daigo Dojima, Ryuji Goda, and more.
It’s was also hinted by General Director Toshihiro Nagoshi, studio representative and producer Daisuke Sato, and chief producer Masayoshi Yokoyama that the next game of the franchise will look back at the history of Yakuza. It’s expected that Yakuza: Like an Asura is a game currently in development.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon, released on November 10, 2020, on PS4 Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Other upcoming Yakuza releases include the Xbox One and PC versions of Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. They will be available on January 28, 2021, and March 25, 2021, respectively.
