A State of Play Event May Happen on September 19, PS5 Pro Details Seemingly Leaked

According to claimed insider Brian Potter, a state of Play event will be held on September 19, 2024. The State of play event will be “focusing on indie and third-party games making the most of PS5 Pro.” However, he claims fans “should not expect any news on PlayStation Studio titles just yet” Additionally, they claim the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro console will come with “an improved DualSense—more battery life and enhanced triggers.” The console will also include HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for select streaming services and physical media. Finally, the leaker claims that the PlayStation 5 Pro Digital will launch on November 14 and will cost £499.99, and a deluxe version will launch on December 5 and will cost £589.99. It’s worth noting that these details have yet to be confirmed by Sony.

Following the recent leak of Sony’s highly rumored and anticipated PlayStation 5 Pro console, the publisher seemingly confirmed the leak. In the recently released image celebrating the upcoming 30th Anniversary for PlayStation, an outline of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which looks like the leaked concept image can be spotted. While hard to spot, the outline can be seen amongst other PlayStation devices.  According to prominent leaker billbil-kun, the console will have “the same white color” consistent with previous models, will be larger than the slim and will have three “black stripes” on the panels this time. Additionally, the console will reportedly not have a disc drive, at least according to the leaker’s design image, but will have the same DualSense controllers the standard PlayStation 5 has. Lastly, the report also reveals that the console will be announced “very soon” possibly in “the first half of September”.
