A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Action Game is in Development

According to Paramount Global’s senior vice president for games, Doug Rosen, a new third-person action RPG based on the 2020 graphic novel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is currently in development. The novel follows the last surviving turtle, whose identity is left a secret until the end, in a city ruled by The Shredder’s grandson.According to a recent interview with Polygon, Rosen stated that the game will be a more mature and darker take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and is inspired by games such as God of War. Additionally, the game will be a single-player experience with players mainly using a single playable character. However, Rosen also hinted at the possibility of other characters being playable during flashback sequences. The game is reportedly likely “a few years off.”Details for the latest game in the franchise, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge can be seen below:Heroes in a Half ShellTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge features groundbreaking gameplay rooted in timeless classic brawling mechanics, brought to you by the beat ’em up experts at Dotemu (Streets of Rage 4) and Tribute Games.
