Abandoned Realtime App Is Live On PS5 Servers

One of the weirdest time consumers this year has been the constant updates on the upcoming game simply known as Abandoned. The game was first announced with a teaser trailer on the PlayStation Blog as a PlayStation exclusive horror game. Thanks to a tweet released by developer Blue Box Studios, we know that this is not the final title for the game and that the name begins with S and ends with L.

Because of this tweet, a MASSIVE conspiracy formed around the game in which people thought that it was a fake studio created by Hideo Kojima, to secretly announce Silent Hills. This has mostly been laid to rest as Hasan Kahramanm, head of Blue Box Studios has come out proving he is real. This hasn’t completely ended the conspiracy but it has made it look more and more likely that Abandoned is real.

One of the things that made many people suspect that this Abandoned game might be too good to be true was the odd declaration of a real-time trailer app. The app would be available on PS5 systems and allow all trailers for the game to run in real-time on the system. Many claimed that the feature seemed like too much from a small indie studio, especially since the first trailer on PlayStation Blog was rough around the edges.

Well, as it turns out, the real-time trailer app is not only real but it has been added to the PlayStation servers. While not accessible yet, it has been sized out at 1.8 gigabytes. While it was originally supposed to launch in June, this was delayed as it was stated to “Not be there yet.”

The timing also seems to coincide with the rumored PlayStation event that might occur on July 8th. Having a rumored runtime of about 90 minutes, there are plenty of possibilities as to what might be shown there, including a new look at Abandoned.

According to the game’s director:

Abandoned is a cinematic, first-person horror survival shooter set in a highly detailed open world environment and favours a realistic approach to survival. realistic graphics, smooth character animations and minimal loading screens.

We will keep audiences updated as more in the saga of Blue Box Studios, and Abandoned, unfolds.
