Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice Launches September 8 in the West

Ace Attorney 6 is heading west this September as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, Capcom has announced.

Capcom has confirmed that a final European and US date of 8 September has been set for the next installment in the Ace Attorney series. A free demo featuring “a section from the first courtroom scenario in the game” will also be available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop from 25 August.

Capcom is promising a large cast of returning characters, including fellow defence attorneys Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes and their accompanying “Mood Matrix”, “Revisualisation” (and presumably Apollo’s usual “Perceive”) mechanics.

Check out the Trailer:

“At the start of Spirit of Justice, Phoenix is found visiting the far eastern Kingdom of Khura’in , origin point of the Kurain Channeling Technique, a method of communicating with the spirit realm. As Phoenix soon discovers, courts work differently in Khura’in – trials and verdicts are not decided by evidence or arguments, but through visions conjured via mysterious séance trials by the Royal Priestess of Khura’in herself, Rayfa Padma Khura’in. Thanks to these visions and Khura’inese law, trials here are lawyer-less, leaving defendants helpless! That’s where Phoenix steps in: the new Divination Séances reveal the last moments of the victim’s life, and it’s up to Phoenix to find the contradictions and discrepancies between Rayfa’s vision of the events and the truth of what happened.

Meanwhile, Apollo Justice is doing his best to hold down the fort back at the Wright Anything Agency, on top of taking on a case that will have massive implications. Apollo will do everything in his power to find the truth, so watch out – here comes Justice!

Spirit of Justice is packed with puzzles on top of the series’ well-known witty and humorous courtroom drama. Plus, the new Divination Séance joins popular investigative techniques from previous installments to keep you constantly on your toes both in and out of the courtroom! Phoenix and Apollo will unravel captivating and revealing cases in their search for the truth, working with (or against!) a colorful cast of new and returning allies and adversaries along the way.”
