Activision Blizzard has some major things to say about their recently, remastered franchises. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro were listed to be the company’s flagship titles, meaning that they will certainly be given the treatment they need to be great.
The report from Business Wire states, “Since its inception, [Activision Blizzard Consumer Products Group] ABCPG remains steadfast in its efforts to drive global growth and engagement for Activision Blizzard’s flagship brands, including Activision’s Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, and Blizzard’s Overwatch and World of Warcraft. Additionally, with Activision Blizzard at the vanguard of competitive entertainment, ABCPG continues to raise the bar for esports via the merchandise program for the Overwatch League as we usher in a enw generation of fans and athletes.”
As both games have been seemingly ignored up until now, 2017 allowed for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to release on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC. While 2018 had Spyro Reignited Trilogy for the same platforms as well.
They also continue to say that both of the games did very well as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has sold over 10 Million Copies earlier in February. Also, Spyro Reignited Trilogy was the Number 9 best-selling game in the U.S. in November, so it’s safe to say that these games are successful to Activision Blizzard.
If this all goes well then that means that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will probably see high sales numbers when it comes out on June 21, 2019.
Well as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are considered to be Flagship brands, we can expect to see more of these two in the future with newer titles. Who knows? We might even get a Spyro the Dragon skateboarding game.
