The Evil Dead franchise has long held the hearts of many horror enthusiasts for well-over three decades now. The latest in the franchise has been teased by legendary actor Bruce Campbell confirming that a new Evil Dead video game is in the works and will be releasing soon.
“We’ll see more Evil Dead, that’s for sure. There is an Evil Dead video game out(…)A fully immersive video game probably within a year. I’m not sure about the day. There will be variations of that. There won’t be the original Ash anymore. That guy is done.” – Bruce Campbell speaks to TV Insider
There hasn’t been a new title within the Evil Dead video series for quite some time with the last mainline entry being Regeneration, which released all the way back in 2005 for PS2, Xbox and PC. This new endeavor teased by Campbell is said to be “fully immersive” as he will naturally reprise his iconic role as Ash.
While there’s no current release date or official announcement for this new Evil Dead title, publisher THQ Nordic has recently revealed that two unannounced titles will be on display at this year’s E3 event – one of those could very well be this new Evil Dead game as they published the series in the past when they were known as THQ.
Stay tuned for more on this tease on what this new title will be and when it’s expected to release.
