Lightning Games was sorry to announce today the delay of ANNO Mutationem to the third quarter of 2021. The development team has been tasked with new goals and they are “working hard towards the release”.
According to the official description of the game, ANNO: Mutationem is an action-adventure game with RPG elements set in a cyberpunk world, featuring a unique mix of pixelated 2D & 3D graphic style with a rich, dark and bizarre plot.

The emotional letter from the development team reveals that the complicated decision was made to avoid a release that it’s not up to the quality needed for both players and the development team.
Our team wish to express our deepest apologies for having to make you wait a little longer for Anno Mutationem. After several weeks of discussions, we decided to postpone the release date of the PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 version to the third quarter of 2021.

With the fears of the second wave of infections across Europe, Anno Mutationem might be just one of the several games to be delayed in early 2021.
