The latest Apex Legends update is live on all platforms along with,”The Legendary Hunt” event.
The Legendary Hunt adds a new playlist called Apex Elite where it’s just about the same as the normal mode, except with a faster-closing ring and increased damage for being outside of it. The new mode brings an extra challenge to the usual game and is unlocked by being one of the last five teams in any match.
Both playlists, the normal and elite, offer four exclusive weapon and legend skins through in-game challenges during the event. The Apex Elite queue is available now until July 2, while challenges and awards are available until June 18.
Battle Pass owners will receive the Legendary Honored Prey R-301 skin and the Wraith Night Terror Legendary skin for reaching level 15 before the event ends.
Players that own the battle pass will earn an entire BP level once per day until June 18 by reaching Top 5 in any match. Additionally Respawn is holding a double XP weekend starting Friday, June 7 at 1 p.m. EST until Monday, June 10 at 1 p.m. EST.
For the 1.2 update it contains several bug fixes and quality of life features that include a fully-customizable button layout for consoles and additional loot placements which include doubling the amount of equipment found in The Pit. Also they added localized voice overs for all Legends for the French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Japanese, and Mandarin languages.
While Apex Legends has seen better days lately, there’s nothing stopping Respawn from creating more events and content from the game. Also, it would seem that they’re improving on the newer skins making them more unique and fun for everyone.
