Watch the Games with Gold lineup in this video, followed up by it’s detailed information:
“To start things off, it’s the critically acclaimed episodic adventure The Wolf Among Us from the storytelling masters at Telltale Games – followed by the award-winning Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive, from acclaimed developer Insomniac Games. On the Xbox 360, Xbox Live Gold members start the month with one of the most beloved horror-action titles of all time with EA’s Dead Space, and then roll into the open-world extravaganza Saints Row IV.
As usual, all games are available only for a limited time, as part of the ongoing Games with Gold program, so sign up for Gold now to get in on the action!
• The Wolf Among Us ($24.99): Available from April 1-30 on Xbox One
• Sunset Overdrive ($29.99): Available from April 16-May 15 on Xbox One
• Dead Space ($14.99): Available from April 1-15 on Xbox 360
• Saints Row IV ($34.99 ERP): Available from April 16-30 on Xbox 360
The world’s gone mad in Sunset Overdrive, thanks to a very bogus energy drink, and it’s up to you to set things right – or, at least, look really cool trying. A combination of grinding rails a la Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, with third-person shooter action and plenty of parkour/climbing/bouncing make up the core of Sunset Overdrive’s zany gameplay. Featuring a colorful, humorous aesthetic and a cast of memorable characters, this is one you absolutely can’t miss – especially when it’s free. When you take in Sunset Overdrive’s popular multiplayer modes and vast arsenal of weapons, you’ll quickly see why this Xbox One exclusive is such a critical darling.
If you’d prefer to turn the crank on the deeper-thinking parts of your brain, though, you’ll have the opportunity, thanks to The Wolf Among Us. Based on the enormously popular series from DC Comics’ Vertigo label, the game follows Bigby Wolf (that is, “Big Bad Wolf”) who stalks 1980s Manhattan as he tries to solve a series of bizarre murders that appear to be taking out his fellow fairy tale characters… all of whom are (like Bigby) in disguise among the regular human population. You’ll recognize famous faces like Snow White, of course, but you’ll be floored by the many twists and turns that the story takes. Don’t miss your chance to get involved in one of the most addictive episodic gaming experiences ever.
Now, on Xbox 360 (and Xbox One, too, thanks to the awesome power of backward compatibility), you get to start April off with the mother of all open-world mash-ups: Saints Row IV. Taking a poke at just about every open-world game out there, Saints Row IV puts you in the shoes of the Boss, the unnamed leader of the titular Saints, as they fend off an alien invasion of Earth using their skills learned as members of the world’s most badass street gang/corporate pitchmen. Yes, it’s a very insane game – but in a good way. Saints Row IV combines elements of role-playing, action, comedy, adventure, martial arts, and just plain crazy, in ways that no other series has. So get it while it’s free, kick your feet up, and have a good time.
And when you’re done with the madness, get ready for one of the most pulse-pounding adventures ever put onto an optical disc with Dead Space. You take on the role of Isaac Clarke, space engineer – who finds himself marooned on a space station where something has gone horribly wrong. We don’t want to reveal too much… but this game’s amazing, horrific visuals hold up today. With a story so creepy and so genuine, you might have to play this one in the daylight.
So get hyped! This ain’t no April fool, after all. Check out the full details on our Games with Gold program, and make sure you get in on the action while you can!”
