Assassin’s Creed Codename Red To Have Two Playable Characters, May Launch in Fall 2024

According to a recent report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will have two playable characters who will be a Samurai and a Shinobi. While no details have officially been revealed so far, based on Ubisoft’s teaser of the game, the Samurai is a female and, according to rumors, the Shinobi is reportedly an African refugee who has recently joined the brotherhood. Additionally, a major focus of the game is stealth, and Ubisoft Quebec has reportedly “decided to take a Splinter Cell-esque or Hitman approach to the title, with things like hiding bodies, hiding in tall grass, extinguishing lights so your shadows are not spotted etc. all being current features.” Lastly, the report claims that the Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will have a gameplay premiere at E3 alongside the formal announcement of the upcoming VR title, Assassin’s Creed Nexus, and is internally scheduled to release Fall of 2024.
