Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – Cloud Version footage

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – Cloud Version footage

Ubisoft brought Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Cloud Version to the Japanese Switch eShop this week and we hope that we can play the game outside japan because it look great and smooth running on the Switch.

The game can be played across all available Switch modes (handheld, TV, and tabletop) and takes up about 44MB of space. Considering how big the Assassins Creed franchise is, lets hope to see this game outside japan soon, we are probably gonna need an ultra fast internet to play it but I think cloud gaming is set to define gaming as a whole in the near future.

The game already released on PS4, Xbox and PC on October 5th 2018. No indication has been given if the Switch’s cloud version will see a release anywhere else, however, considering that Resident Evil 7 cloud version is Japan exclusive, we doubt that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey on Switch will see an international release anytime soon.

The first time we saw Ubisoft’s Asssasin’s Creed franchise head on over to a Nintendo console was with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag back in 2013. Now, we will be getting the latest installment in the franchise, Odyssey will be coming in the form a “Cloud Version” and will be streamed to the Nintendo Switch.

At the moment there is only a Japanese trailer for the cloud version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which suggest that there will only be a Japanese release for Ubisoft’s title on the Switch. On a side note, Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 is also getting the same treatment with the title coming to the Nintendo Switch, check that out here. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be launching for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 5th.
