Ubisoft announced today that Assassin’s Creed Origins players (on PC) will be able to use a god mode on the game soon, to run around with unlimited health, or more animal companions, as the new cheat-mode panel will come to the series for the first time.
This new panel is called the Animus Control Panel, and will enable gamers to fiddle with 75 parameters across 11 categories. Details about what gamers can modify with this panel won’t be revealed until the release date of this new feature is close, but the image below shows sliders and toggles for options including diving speed, NPC movement speed, melee and ranged damage scaling, assassination and adrenaline abilities, and of course the maximum number of animal companions:
The new menu will come with three pre-made presets (the image indicates a “God Mode” preset, although looking at the sliders gamers can go beyond that) and player-created presets will be shareable through a dedicated forum. The panel will be part of the Uplay Library page, and it will only be available on PC.
This is only for the Windows PC version of the game; Ubisoft didn’t give a specific release date for the panel other than sometime in April.
GameRevolution said in an article on their website:
“While it’s not a complete God Mode (i.e. you won’t be able to remove and move objects from within the game world) it’s refreshing to see Ubisoft give players the key to kingdom as it were, and really have a play around with the game. You will also be able to save your settings and share it online. Yes, someone out there might be really into your random street urchin with the powers of The Flash mode.
Credit, too, has to go to Ubisoft team for creating such an intuitive piece of in-game software.”
