Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection
has launched for the Nintendo Switch alongside a new launch trailer.
The title makes two games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise available to fans on the Nintendo Switch: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
The launch comes the day after an interview with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag developers, who revealed that the game started out as DLC for Assassin’s Creed III, but was ultimately decided to be far too grand in scope to be relegated to a few hours of DLC. Thus, it was decided Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag would be a standalone game.
Fans who purchase Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection will be given access to both the aforementioned games, as well as all previous DLC for both titles.
On Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag: “Become the most feared pirate in the Caribbean in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Take part in an award-winning naval experience and explore a massive open world.”
On Assassin’s Creed Rogue: “Become the ultimate Assassin hunter in Assassin’s Creed Rogue, and play as a Templar for the first time in franchise history.”
Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection on Nintendo Switch allows gamers to experience enhanced features, such as Handheld Mode, HD Rumble, Touch Screen Interface, and Motion Control Aiming.
Moreover, the release comes soon after the revelation that many former Assassin’s Creed developers are joining Stadia Games and Entertainment Studio to work on the troubled Google Stadia console in an effort to bring more first-party games to the device. So far, the console only has third-party titles, such as Mortal Kombat 11 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
