Historical places are always fun and amazing to visit, since they have so much tales to tell you within every piece of stone that has been used to build it. On the other hand, watching these great legacies getting destroyed is annoying enough that you would offer anything you can to rebuild it again. Notre-Dame in France, is one of those great buildings that due to fire has been partially destroyed and now all the French companies including Ubisoft are trying to help the government to reconstruct it again.
Following the incident, Ubisoft donated €500,000 for the process of repairing Notre-Dame and also made its Assassin’s Creed: Unity available for free for a limited time in order to players visit the historical place with full details in the game, though it can also help architectures to reconstruct Notre-Dame more accurate once again. However, according to official statistics, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been downloaded more than 3 million times since last week. Players’ reception for the game was amazing, regarding that Unity didn’t do pretty well in its launch due to lots of bugs and technical issues.
It’s worth noting that recreating Notre-Dame in Assassin’s Creed: Unity took the level artist two years to complete it, and reconstructing it in the real world, may need even more time, due to the large amount of details on the building.
