Back 4 Blood – Tunnels of Terror DLC Revealed

Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros. Games have released a launch trailer showing off the new DLC for popular first person co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood called Tunnels of Terror. This will be the first major DLC for the title which was released in October 2021. The DLC is set to release on April 12, 2022.

The new expansion will take place in the maze-like Ridden infested tunnels deep underground and will bring new cleaners, weapons and challenges to players. A new mode – Ridden Hives will have up to four players exploring 7 new cavernous Hives in order to gain various rewards.

The trailer introduces two new Cleaners to the roster – Sharice and Heng. Sharice is a former firefighter that wields an axe and is known for her defensive prowess. Heng is tough-as-nails old timer that used to be the owner of a restaurant and is pretty good with dispatching Ridden with his trusty chef’s knife. Of course, the labyrinthine caverns and normal Ridden aren’t the only challenges that players will have to face. New Warped Ridden will also join the ranks of the undead in order to overwhelm the Cleaners. There are landmine-setting Urchins, horrifying Shredders and damage-dealing Rippers along with the normal assortment of special Ridden to deal with. Both the new Cleaners and new Ridden will be available to play in PvP Swarm mode and PvP matches.

With new Ridden, you’ll also need better firepower, and Turtle Rock has you covered with the introduction of seven new legendary weapons, including the aptly-named Damnation, an AA12 with explosive rounds. Back 4 Blood – Tunnels of Terror will also introduce eight new player skins, 12 new weapon skins, new cards and more. For those who think that the game isn’t enough of a challenge, the DLC will also coincide with the release of the new “No Hope” difficulty – a new update for anyone who owns the base Back 4 Blood game. In addition, all the content in the expansion will be accessible by all players in the party as long as one player owns the DLC, which is honestly a great feature.

Back 4 blood – Tunnels of Terror launches on April 12th, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
