Bandai Namco and Tarsier Studios Announce Little Nightmares

Bandai Namco announced a publishing agreement with developer Tarsier Studios. The two have announced Little Nightmares, formerly known as Hunger.

Little Nightmares follows a dark tale that sees players confront their childhood fears as they help a little, yellow raincoat wearing girl escape the clutches of The Maw — a vast, mysterious vessel that has been corrupted by souls seeking their next meal.

Platforms for Little Nightmares were not announced, however, more information on the game will be revealed at Gamescom 2016, which starts on August 17th and ends on August 21st.

Check out the Teaser:

“A trailer that accompanied the first look at Hunger in February of last year also gave a longer look at the upcoming game, which still is without a release date or confirmed platforms.”

Tarsier Studios announced Hunger in summer 2014, when it received nearly $100,000 in funding for the game’s prototype from the Nordic Game Program. Hunger, which was aiming for release on PlayStation 4, was about a nine-year-old girl named Six’s journey into a world of disturbing, hungry creatures. That’s still the case with Little Nightmares, whose tiny hero explores a vessel called The Maw in the hopes of escaping unscathed.”
