A GameStop employee has leaked the existence of the Batman Arkham HD Collection. The unnamed employee emailed a picture to Eurogamer earlier that shows the collection’s release date and reveals other details.
For starters, it’s coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It includes Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City with updated visuals.
Curiously, the collection does not include Arkham Origins, the only non-Rocksteady developed game in the series, and considered by many to be a low point.
Previously released DLC packs for both games are included, as you might expect. Pre-orders should go live tomorrow, according to the image, with a release date set for June 10.
The report does not mention Batman: Arkham Origins, which was developed by Warner Bros. Montreal rather than the series’ usual developer Rocksteady Studios.
“The new versions of those games included with the rumored Batman HD Collection will have “updated visuals” that have been “optimized” for PS4 and Xbox One, according to the leak.”
