Battle For Bikini Bottom – Deluxe Editions Announced

The excitement for this one was explosive but has died down a bit. Earlier this year THQ Nordic announced that they would be bringing a Remake of Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom to all platforms in 2020. As someone who never got to play the original, this remake has yours truly hyped up. Between the trailers we’ve seen and how well THQ Nordic has been doing you should be hype as well.

Today THQ has announced two different special editions for people to pick up when the game drops. The Shiny Edition includes a Spongebob figure, some wallstickers, 6 lithographs a pair of Spongebob’s signature socks and naturally the game. All this for the price of $149. There’s a second more expensive addition called the F.U.N Edition, this comes with 3 figures, one of Spongebob Squarepants, one of Patrick Star and one of Sandy Cheeks. The F.U.N. Edition also comes with everything in the Shiny Edition and adds a set of keyrings for buyers. The F.U.N Edition comes in at a price of $299. These are two hefty deluxe editions of the game, but for diehard fans, who understand the impact of this release and re-release might want to jump on this. If you’re unfamiliar here’s what THQ Nordic had to say about Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom:

Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots with your mighty bubbles? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn’t you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!
