has received a Battle Royale mode on PC and Xbox One.
Titled ‘The Eliminator,’ the mode was implemented via a free update, and allows up to 72 players to compete against one another in Forza Horizon 4’s open world.
All players are forced into a starter car (a 1965 Mini Cooper) and have the opportunity to upgrade the vehicle by discovering car drops around the game’s world or by claiming victory in head-to-head races against other racers. Those who lose the race are disqualified from ‘The Eliminator’ while the victor can choose between acquiring an upgrade or pilfering their adversary’s car.
Over time, the map’s boundaries become narrower, until the mode culminates in remaining drivers racing to the finish line to achieve ultimate victory.
‘The Eliminator’ launched at 10:00 AM PST alongside a mini-campaign and unlockable rewards. Some of the rewards included are the 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, 2008 Renault Mégane R26. R, and the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Pre-Order Edition. Moreover, mode-specific character clothing has also been implemented.
