According to an insider report, Battlefield VI will be launching for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and next-gen consoles soon.
Tom Henderson, a reliable source of leaks has said that a reboot of Battlefield is in the works, he is unsure if the game will be called Battlefield VI or just Battlefield. He also explains that the project has been heavily influenced in the third entry of the franchise, but he does not reveal exactly how.

The next-gen game will feature a destructible environment, and next-gen graphics, and 128 players multiplayer on next-gen consoles. It’s expected that old-gen consoles support up to 32 players per session and the next-gen features are downgraded.
EA has not revealed the new Battlefield game, but in a 2019’s earning call the publisher confirmed that the next installment in the Battlefield franchise will be launching in the fiscal year of 2022, meaning we can expect it to arrive between April 2021 and March 2022. EA explained that the reason behind the late release of the next Battlefield game is the intention of the producers of the game to take the best from the next-gen hardware like the NVMe SSD and faster CPU.
“Bringing out Battlefield [in 2020], where the new console base is fairly small, doesn’t really give justice to the potential of the title, and so that’s part of our driver in moving the title into fiscal 22,” EA said, adding that it hopes to “target new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms.”
Tom Henderson has proven to be a reliable source of information, however, this information is still speculation and it’s not based on an official statement, so we still have to take this information with a grain of salt.
