Bethesda Announces Upcoming Games Will Be Available On Steam

In a recent tweet from video game studio Bethesda, it appears their upcoming library of game releases will not be exclusive to their online marketplace, Bethesda.net. Various upcoming games will now become available via Steam.

The games listed in the tweet include Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, the VR title Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot and Doom Eternal. They also stated Fallout 76 will be available on Steam later in the year.

The veteran publisher has consistently caught flack from the PC crowd for keeping their games exclusive to their online marketplace. This move signifies that company is indeed listening to their PC community, which is a rather large portion of their player base.

It’s also interesting to see the veteran company go the Steam route while so many other publishers are migrating over to the newer Epic Games Store. We’ll keep you posted if any other older Bethesda titles happen to make their way over to Steam, as well as Fallout 76’s official Steam launch date.

In other news, the studio is also giving away Morrowind for free to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Elder Scrolls series.
