Bigben Interactive has a great vision for being one of the biggest companies for developing and publishing AA games until 2022. In order to reach the goal, Bigben Interactive has started to acquire some of the talented game-developing studios to expand its presence in different genres. Last year, they’ve signed contracts with Cyanide, the developer behind Call of Cthulhu, and Kylotonn Games, the team that brought us WRC series. Now, Bigben have owned a new studio with a special focus on RPG games.
Spiders, the development team behind The Technomancer, Bound by Flame, Mars: War Logs and the upcoming Greedfall, has joined to Bigben Interactive. The titles that the French developer has created so far, mostly received mediocre reviews, but anyway, they are an experienced group in RPG games and that’s what Bigben needs right now. The next project for Spiders, Greedfall, is an action-RPG filled with fantasy elements set in the 17th century of Europe. It will be launched in September this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Bigben Interactive currently owns 4 studios all in France. Aside from its first-party studios, Bigben has also been the publisher for some of the AA titles from independent developers such as the recently released The Sinking City. Right now, the company has 5 games under development from different genres to be released in 2019 and 2020.
