According to a new rumor, a new Zombies mode called Outbreak is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War later this year.

The rumor claims that the development team has the vision to make a next-gen zombies mode that feels modern and takes the best of the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5. The new game mode it’s said to be an open-world featuring a large-scale Fireteam map.

The information was revealed by Okami, a well-known insider, and leaker who has provided reliable information about the franchise.

 

As seen above, Okami does not reveal much about the secret project, but the key details are more than enough to capture the attention of fans of the Zombie mode. At the moment of publishing, neither Activision nor Treyarch has revealed any details about the rumored new game mode.

As seen on the Twitter thread, other Treyarch insiders have suggested that Okami’s information is accurate, adding veracity to the rumor. Other users are starting to claim the information as real on Reddit.

Is important to mention that Treyarch is busy fixing problems with League Play, which they’ve already acknowledge and according to the game’s most recent patch, is the priority for the development team.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War 

season 2 will start on February 24, the game is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
