is getting a closed beta beginning on February 14, 2020.
The game was first announced at E3 2019 and is being developed by Ninja Theory, one of the new developers under the Xbox Game Studios banner. The game’s creative director is Rahni Tucker, who worked on Devil May Cry in the past.
Bleeding Edge had a playable demo at E3 2019, and fans could also sign up for the technical alpha, which resulted in a fan-made Discord channel where players could discuss technical issues surrounding Bleeding Edge and provide Ninja Theory with feedback. The final technical alpha was conducted on December 12, 2019.
At X019, Ninja Theory revealed a new Bleeding Edge trailer, fighter (Cass), and the game’s release date (March 24, 2020 on PC and Xbox One). Players can pre-order Bleeding Edge on the Xbox One marketplace, Microsoft online store, or Steam. Fans who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass will automatically receive access to the game’s closed beta, and players who play Bleeding Edge by March 31, 2020 will receive the Punk Pack.
With the closed beta launching on February 14, 2020, fans have a limited amount of time to participate in the game before it goes live and assist Ninja Theory by providing feedback on class balance, overall mechanics, and stability issues.
Bleeding Edge is a multiplayer, 4v4 combat video game that implements traditional class roles (tank, healer, DPS) and requires teams to coordinate their efforts to take down the enemy.
Ninja Theory is a British video game development studio based in Cambridge, England. The company was acquired by Microsoft Studios (now Xbox Game Studios) in 2018, and its most notable titles include DMC: Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice—and will be the lead developer behind the latter’s sequel (announced at The Game Awards 2019), Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
