I hope you guys like Diablo on the go, and no we are not talking about the Nintendo Switch version, we are talking about a more “pocket size” game, because during at Blizzcon 2018, Blizzard announced an mobile MMO sequel of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction called Diablo Immortal for Android and iOS.
While it’s not the Diablo 4 we all been waiting for, it should hopefully provide something for the fans to hold on to while an eventual Diablo 4 announcement happens. as Blizzard has previously commented about Diablo 4:
“These are very exciting times,” the statement reads. “We currently have multiple teams working on different Diabloprojects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them . . . when the time is right. We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that “good things come to those who wait,” but evil things often take longer. We appreciate your patience as our teams work tirelessly to create nightmarish experiences worthy of the Lord of Terror.”

Diablo Immortal picks up after Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and will launch for iOS and Android.
The mobile RPG is a massively multiplayer online action game; players will be able to drop in and out of groups and play through “dynamic events” as they travel through Sanctuary. Classes include monk, wizard, crusader, demon hunter, necromancer, and barbarian. Blizzard is currently allowing players to pre-register for a chance to join the game’s upcoming beta.
Blizzard has been quiet as of late about the future of Diablo, though job listings discovered earlier this year for an “unannounced Diablo project” suggested that something was on the way. Diablo III launched for PC in 2012, and it rapidly became a best-seller; it was later ported to consoles. The critically acclaimed game launched for the Switch today as a bundle that includes the expansions and other content Blizzard has released over the years.
Diablo Immortal is being co-developed by Blizzard and NetEase. According to Blizzard, the game will regularly introduce new characters, storylines, and more as part of a “living, breathing, and constantly evolving experience.”
