While we may have seen this coming due to a leak on Twitter yesterday, Gearbox has officially confirmed the release date for Borderlands 3 has been confirmed for September 13, 2019. We saw the cover leak just a few hours early, but we now know these leaks have been officially detailed as true.
Gearbox also gave fans a look at what the extra Deluxe, Super Deluxe and Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition versions of the game include. While your standard edition will include the game itself, the Deluxe Edition offers loads of weapon, head and body skins along with the Toy Box weapon set for a price of $79.99. If you’re looking for more, the Super Deluxe Edition will include – on top of the Deluxe Edition content – the season pass which has four DLC campaigns and the coveted Butt Stallion weapon skin at a cost of $99.99.
And for those not satisfied with that and looking to give up a large chunk of your paycheck, the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition comes flush with collectibles and bonus content for price nearing the $250 mark. Purchaser’s of the Collector’s Edition will receive a cloth map of the galaxy, 10 collectible figurines, a replica of the Diamond Loot Chest, 4 Vault Keychains, 5 character art lithographs, Sanctuary 3 snap models, as well as the contents of the other editions. This edition is a GameStop exclusive.
Fans may also tune in on May 1, 2019 for an official gameplay reveal of the upcoming loot ‘n’ shooter.
One last bit of info did in fact reveal that Borderlands 3 will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store, but only until April 2020 upon which it will release on other PC platforms. The game is also set to release on the Xbox One and PS4.
