According to reports, the most downloaded game on PlayStation 5 is Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The direct sequel to the iconic original Black Ops title launched just in time for the next-gen consoles along with a new campaign mode and a next-gen multiplayer mode.

Activision’s next-gen game was the top-selling game in both US and Europe, the game also managed to top the PS4 charts in North America. The second best selling game for the platform was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in the US and Europe.
PS4 charts in Europe reveals that EA’s FIFA 21 was the clear winner followed by FIFA 20.

Activision knows that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a really good game, constant updates are key to maintain the balance and stability across platforms. The most recent patch launched yesterday, January 12 introducing slight improvements on PlayStation 5.
Beginning on Friday 15, Activision is kicking off the weekend with Double Weapon XP through 10 AM PT Tuesday, January 19.
