Infinity Ward’s latest dive into the Call of Duty universe is shaping up to be a much-needed resurgence in the series. While we continue closer and closer to the game’s official release this October, the upcoming title’s multiplayer mode has been on full display over the last couple of weeks.
The latest new concerning the multiplayer portion reveals that a limited beta period is set to hit next month. However, there are a few stipulations in regards to who will be able to participate the early access period.
Starting on September 12 and 13, those who pre-order Modern Warfare will be able to try out the multiplayer feature exclusively on the PS4 first. The next two days of September 14 and 15 will open the beta up to all other PS4 owners.
That’s not to dissuade other platform owners from getting their hands on the multiplayer early access as both Xbox One and PC players will be able to hop into the multiplayer beta on September 19 and 20 to those who pre-order the game. However, PS4 owners will also be able to jump back into the beta during those two days, as well.
And finally, an open beta period to feature full cross-play in the multiplayer will end the period starting on September 21 and running until September 23, 2019.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
