Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Developer Says They Have Worked a Lot on Details

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is going to be the next big hit in the series and aside from bringing back some old friends such as Captain Price and hopefully a captivating story in same level of the main trilogy, it’s going to be ground-breaking title in the whole series when it comes to graphics and details. Infinity Ward says the game will feature the most realistic animations that we’ve ever seen in a COD game.

As you might’ve known Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been under development for 3 years and it’s being made with a whole new engine that enables so many new features and capabilities for the game in terms of graphics. According to a recent interview with Mark Grisby, Head of animations at Infinity Ward, the studio is working really hard on the animations to bring you a title that feels realistic in any aspects especially holding a gun and feeling its heaviness.

Based on the things Grisby has revealed, the game will show a great performance in shooting with the guns and their influence on the objects all around you in the game. He said:

When you shoot these weapons, you feel the power of the weapon, but you also see the impact of the weapon within the game world, in terms of the sound and physics.

All the animations for staying idle, moving and reloading have been greatly improved to provide a more believable experience. The team behind animations has spent enough time on shooting and testing different real-world weapons to get familiar with them and simulate them in the best way possible in Modern Warfare. Some new features like Aiming Down Sight Reload will be also introduced that will have its own unique animation.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to launch on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will feature cross-play between PC and consoles with no Zombies mode and season pass available this time.
